This medication increases dopamine and norepinephrine, chemicals in the brain that control impulses and focus. It also reduces appetite, which can help you lose weight. However, this medication can cause dangerous side effects if taken in excess. If you experience symptoms like anxiety, jitteriness, or high blood pressure, talk to your doctor immediately. The doctor may adjust your dose or recommend a different medicine for you.

Take vyvanse as directed by your doctor. Never take more than the prescribed amount or use this medicine for longer than recommended.
